SFS2015 - February

Month: February Spent: 34.80 Earned: 0 My two projects this month were the peacocks and the mystery CAL from yarnspirations. I also succumbed to ABC Stitch's 20% off sale. I did stick to the clearance page. A few things I saw had gone by the time I decided to actually order something.

DWTS season 20: cast reveal

Season 20 is almost upon us and the cast has been revealed! Patti LaBelle with Artem. I want to see her do well, but it's been proven that singing ability doesn't always translate to dancing ability with older people. Riker Lynch with Allison. He was on "Glee" therefore he can perform choreography. Whether he can pick up the proper technique is another issue. Charlotte McKinney with Keo. Models tend to be gone pretty quickly due to lack of fan base. Paired with Keo who was out week 1 last season (despite staying around for troupe numbers) and I don't know if that's going to change. Michael Sam with Peta. Football players are usually good with dancing ability. Willow Shields with Mark. An actress, could go either way. Rumer Willis with Val. Official press has her as an actress/singer but other sources say she has some dance performances under her belt. I think she'll go far. Noah Galloway with Sharna. A former soldier and double amputee, left

An update

I'm working on Pg6A of my peacocks. Just one more row of pages after this then some backstiching.   And here's part 2 of the mystery CAL. Found some previously made squares had and extra stitch and had to rework the last two rows.

New project

So I'm working on Pg6 of Peacocks. All colors have officially been used. Additionally I started the Yarnspirations CAL. 20 granny squares made for part 1. Came across another CAL called Sophie's Universe which is calling to me... But I shall refrain. For now. Still applying to jobs, have an interview on Monday for a possible opportunity. Also starting to look into freelance work some more.

Over half way

I'm now officially on the 2nd half of this piece. Pg5 is complete except for one tiny section which requires Pg5A to be mostly complete so I don't mess up on stitch counts. At this point there are only 2 colors I still haven't used. I came up with an idea for a video, possibly a series. Focusing on how long cross-stitch and crochet takes. And pricing. I know for my cross-stitch, I'm going to use the following two, possibly more as illustrations. My question to the general population, is what price would you consider paying for these pieces?

It appears...

The 2nd peacock.   Also made this. And here's Onyx laying between 2 pillows and a folded afghan. I also succumbed to ABC Stitch's 20% off sale. I did stick to the clearance page. I had been perusing it a week ago. A few things I saw had gone by the time I decided to actually order something.    Also bought yarn for a Mystery CAL . Rather, my mom bought it. She picked out the colors. She's been wanting an afghan for a while but could never tell me exactly what she wanted. Yarn on the left is the main color.
