WIPs and balls

Part 3 of the Wonderland Wrap CAL took a lot longer than expected. I kept messing up which didn't help. The pattern wasn't that hard but I would on occasion forget a puff or forget to secure the second puff. Finished another block of 10 across all 6 pages. Was starting the next row of blocks and suddenly got hit with, 'I'm tired of seeing dark colors.' So back to the dice. Rolled 'organized/inventory bin 5. Which included the yarn for the sports pillows. I knew I had the pattern in a different bin so I finished up the basketball which I had started years ago. I got the kit in 2015. Made half, though it looked weird with the rippling, stopped. Apparently I never blogged about it. And stuffing a 14" round pillow form into something only 10" wide took care of the rippling. Hardest part was trying to get the backstitching straight on something that was made in the round. I tried, but still a little wonky. Someone posted about a mystery SAL

Full conversion

Finally finished converting The Accolade from parking to cross country. Yay! It took a bit longer because my yarn order came and I started the Hobbii CAL, Wonderland Wrap. My yarn order. May have gone overboard, but I do have a project in mind for everything. And Clyde. Just because.

Trials and Tribulations

The non-counted cross stitch wasn't too bad at first. Tried to follow the stitching via the backstitching. Figured I could fudge a bit here and there. Ribbons fine, forelock: decent. Main: ugh. I don't know if I need to fudge the main, start one stitch lower, bring up what I had already put on the blue ribbon. Anyway, this is back in my closet. Picked up The Accolade, but realized the PDF I was sent was a different version. Original 6 patterns from GK were pre-password. While waiting for the correct one I made my Mom a scarf for her birthday. I called it Sully because it reminded me of the character from Monsters Inc. And progress on The Accolade now that I have it working on Pattern Keeper. Arab Tent and Insanity have different symbols, but seem to match up pattern-wise. Easier to redo my floss cards than to try and mess with the files. Plus, I can put the blends in the same order as PK and make them easier to find. And on a different note, I got Clyde a new c

Kept at it almost a whole week

Almost got through the first page. I would've kept going with this piece but my left index finger was protesting. The last knuckle is somewhat double jointed and I may have strained it gripping the needle to pull 6/12 strands of floss through the holes on this really stiff aida. so, back to the dice. I managed 20 diamonds for this 'ozark star mandala afhgan' pattern. But constantly repeating 3 rounds was boring. So the dice brought me to my linen closet stash and this came out, an ebay purchase of an old kit. It's billed as counted cross stitch but... Wish me luck. Contains bullions, french knots, lasy daisies, and smyrna crosses. And I know I said no stash, but I had a hard week dealing with my health insurance company and needed a present. So I bought yarn. It should arrive sometime this week. At least I have a project in mind for every skein?
