DWTS Season 28: Week 11/Finale

Nice opening hustle. Round 1: repeat a favorite dance Ally. She went for it more than the first time. Don't know if it was worth a perfect score, but tonight you really have to screw up not to get that score. Lauren. Very smooth. Nice lines. Huh. They didn't give a perfect score. I agree with the scores. It was good, but not a wow. Kel. Fun routine. More hip hop than jazz. Still don't know if it's 10 worthy. Hannah. Nice easy Viennese waltz. I agree with the scores. Round 2: freestyle round Ally. The lifts were a little awkward in the transitions. Didn't see hips in the salsa section and a bit too much side by side dancing. I'll give her the scores. (Haha. Took imitating Bruno with his jacket on was hilarious.)  Lauren. I enjoyed that. I was smiling. The boys in tight jeans certainly helped. I agree with the scores. (I miss pro dances)  Hannah. The lifts were interesting, but the rest of it fell flat for me. Too high f...

DWTS Season 23: Week 11 night 2

We've reached the end of the journey once more.   Cute opening. Saw some faces I forgot were on this season. Haha. They turned a golf cart into a sleigh. James. I didn't feel like that performance was as good as the original. He looked tired. That was a fast dance to Andy's song. Alison looked like her feet were going to slip out from under her during some of those spins. Calvin. Still a weird song choice for a Argentine tango. Maureen. She still walked through that. And what was the point of Ryan and Babyface? I love dress rehearsals. So funny. Maks! And samba! Sexy dancing skittles. Haha. Laurie. So glad they picked this one. Loved the switch up at the end from the original. Bad hair clip. Bad number. But funny. Vanilla ice really doesn't do ballroom well. Why was Rick Perry his DJ? Very pretty foxtrot and loved the green dress. Babyface, please stick to singing. And Rick Perry can play the drums? Ooh hot men. Tha...

DWTS Season 23: Week 11 night 1

It's the finale! 1st round: judges pick/redemption dance Calvin. Nice. His footwork was a bit sloppy at times. Arm was a little high in hold at the beginning. I'll agree with the scores. Jana. It was danced well, but I found it very repetitive in the moves. Her feet did some funny things when not on the floor. Too long in the platform. Tango is a traveling dance. I agree with the score. Laurie. That was a fast song. She looked like she slipped a tiny bit at times. I agree with the scores. A little low. Why does trains new song have the melody to chopsticks as the chorus? Lucky Cheryl regardless of the song. James. Very nice. Just a little trip up near the end. Cute concept. How do they get glasses to stay in during spins? Mine would fly off if I danced with them on. I agree with the scores. Round 2: the freestyle Jana. I'm glad they didn't fall during that one carry. Other than that it was interesting and pretty. I'll give her ...

DWTS Season 21: Week 11 night 2

And we say goodbye to Season 21 tonight. Cute opening. Chaka. Probably a good idea to stick to singing. Kim. Hoppy and no hips. She quotient have lasted much longer than the week she had to withdraw. I wish they would do more pro numbers like that throughout the season. Silly Tom. Paula. And she still can't dance samba. Carlos. Magic Mike the Christmas edition. Mmm good looking shirtless men. Nick. His butt wasn't sticking out!  Victor. Still bad. Andy. Does decently when he doesn't have to do ballroom. Alek. He'd do well in the theater arts category. Lots of lifts. I love outtakes. Gary. Still has no idea what he's supposed to be doing. Hayes. Very short and it seemed to be a sticky floor. Alexa. One of the odd dances mark choreographed. Strange little 'night before Christmas' Bindi. Still pretty. Andy and Chaka. Their voices don't blend well. And the fusion dances Nick. Sals...

DWTS Season 21: Week 11 night 1

Round 1: judges pick Carlos. Interesting song choice. But I saw foxtrot. Slightly pigeon toed once or twice. I'll give him the scores. Alek. The song's a Viennese waltz not a rumba. No hips. She danced around him a lot. He was a bit stiff. Too high for me. Nick. Kicks and flicks were good. A few other places looked a little sloppy. Overall I really liked it. I agree with the scores. Bindi. That was very long Quickstep. I agree with the scores. Round 2: freestyle Carlos. It was interesting. But I saw some steps from the latest group/line dances. Alek. Eh. Didn't do much for me. Too high for me. Bindi. I did get chills at the end but it didn't affect me like the last dance she dedicated to her father. I'll give her the scores. Nick. I liked it. I agree with the scores. And Carlos leaves. Based on dance ability it should have been Alek.

DWTS Season 19: Week 11 Night 2

And tonight is officially the last night of the season.   Randy. Foxtrot is still the best dance of the three he did. Never quite lived up to that potential with the Latin dances. I liked Artem and Lindsay dancing. Cute America tease from Val and Janel. Jonathon. Don't put him next to Twitch. Betsey. The pink button on the tutu was distracting and she still couldn't remember the routine. I think Sadie danced that cha cha better at the beginning of the season. Michael. He's still horrible. Antonio. Knees were too bent and I think he did heel leads. Alfonso didn't go quite as all out as the first time he danced the Carlton. Lea. She could do so much more. I refer you to the pro dance with Karina, Maks, and Tony to the same song. And another two good pro routines and teases. Tommy. And he completely forgot the majority of the routine. A beautiful pro Viennese Waltz. Cute cake. Happy birthday Bruno! Bethany. She k...

DWTS Season 19: Week 11 night 1

It's the finale! Where did the season go? Round 1 - judges pick Bethany. It was pretty good. A few places she messed up and got out of time with Derek. I'll give her the scores. Sadie. No bounce or hips. Same as last time. She also seemed to mess up a bit as well. Too high. Janel. I think the song fits salsa more then samba. It wasn't as clean as it could've been. Her injury was affecting her. Alfonso. Only dance so far that I felt hadn't dropped from its first performance. I agree with the scores. Round 2 - freestyle Bethany. I liked the tricks but in surprised they went so hip hop. I'll give them the scores but a little high for me. Sadie. Cute but i felt there were parts that didn't for her. Too high. Janel. That fit them. I agree with the scores. Alfonso. Very fun. The most 'ballroom' of the freestyles. I agree with the scores. Freestyles canceled each other out in terms of scoring, as usual. And t...

Dwts season 17: week 11 results

Interesting how they almost redid the opening from the first show. Slight differences. Bill n. I'm pretty sure the tricks were by someone else and a very good editing job. The others parts were still bad. Elizabeth. Still have a problem with her knees being bent the entire dance. Christina and Brant. Not bad but Christina pulled it off better. Valerie. She seemed to forget the routine again and wound up on the wrong foot. Snookie. She's easy to lift. Leah. Very timid again. Bill e. Bill and samba don't work together. Corbin. His new yorkers and lock steps could have been a bit better. He did look a bit out of sync with Karina in the cha cha. I'll agree with the scores. Jack. Really weird combination of dances. The salsa looked a bit odd but he never did it this season. Too high based on the level of Corbin's dance. Amber. Not really a samba song. The technique want really there. The Quickstep was better than the samba by a lo...

DWTS season 17: week 11 performance

It's the finale! Did they match the outfit colors for Kelly and the troupe on purpose? Round 1: judges pick. the redo dance Bill.  V. Waltz. It looked about the same to me from what I remember. I'll give him the scores. Corbin. Quickstep. It seemed slower this time for some reason. I'll agree with the scores. Jack. Jive. The kicks and flicks were better but his triple steps were not. Maybe a little high. Amber. Charleston. Same critiques as last time. Too much hip hop. Too high for me. Round 2: samba relay   The song is slow for a samba.   Jack. He tried but the technique hasn't improved from his solo dance.   Amber. I felt like she didn't really move. Samba is a traveling dance.   Bill. Um what was he doing? Some of the arms looked funky.   Corbin. Only one that looked like he was doing it right. They kept it fairly simple though.   They got the order right. Round 3: freestyle   Bill. I give him...
