Progress, and ornament, preparing for 2020

Image
I'm about 1/3 of the way through page 2 of Waterfall Dragons now. But I took a small break to make a new ornament. Also spent time rearranging how things were stored in my craft closet (of doom) So I could use this as a way of picking my next project. Almost everything ends with a roll of a D20. And saw Clyde. Here he is in his tree. Looking into getting him a new (taller) one for Christmas. Maybe not in Beige.

More crafting time

Image
So I'm officially unemployed. More time to craft though, but not much money to buy things. So, for the time being it's a Stitch From Stash challenge. Finally finished the main part of this afghan. Working on the border which will be sewn to the body and then crocheted around. Yay for being bi-craftual. Took a few kits out of this closet and moved them to my parents. Didn't make too much of a dent... I caught up with NaNoWriMo this week. Haven't written yet today, but I will get to that after posting. These were ordered before my stash diet. Yarn from HAED. A perk of my free time, in addition to craft time, more opportunity to see Clyde.

Late, but worth it

In the Garden is finished! And I decided to take a picture of my new craft closet (of doom). Not everything is in there. There's still a few boxes on my floor and the various bins that were in other closets at my parents. And all sewing patterns are elsewhere.

Mine!

My peacock is coming along nicely. Not too much more. I finally closed on my apartment! It's all mine. Say hello to my new craft closet.

Not a lot to show

Image
I didn't get much stitching done this week. Dancing with the Stars had a two night finale, and yesterday Onyx decided to lay on me. And the other nights I was taking time to pack my craft closet. You can actually see the back of it! Still have some to pack, plus the other boxes and bags that are stashed in other closets...

Something practical

Image
A pillow is practical right? I got pretty far this week. It was barely past the dark purple when I started. I also started packing up my craft closet. I made some progress, but it's barely a dent when you consider how much I have packed into the drawers.

Return of the Craft Closet of Doom

Image
Well. I spent Friday completely overhauling my closet. Which required me to take everything out from here. And it became this: The back side of the bed.   I also left 4 large drawers full of fabric completely intact as I knew I wouldn't be able to redo them. So, phase 1 complete. Phase 2a was to wind the partial skeins which became the following. And to start putting things back in drawers. The rest of my stash from early in the year. Jeans, bottom weights and some remnants The left drawer cabinet. Majority of my cotton/silk stash Yarn to make funky scarves or other small items. Quilting supplies and a few other remnants(still have a bit of room) cotton yarns Combination of yarn. Can't quite remember where I got the blues on top. Found them in a random bag in what used to be my 'catchall' drawer. Fabric for two projects. A Halloween quilt and a Santa do...

Next! Uh oh.

The unicorn is finished. The backstitching makes a world of difference. So onto the next piece. Christmas Tree V with lots of expensive threads. Also, Annie's had a sale. I keep meaning to get into quilting and buy things, but nothing's been made so far. And the downloaded patterns. But I was good and didn't purchase anything on 'I love yarn day'. But while putting things away in my closet... I think I need another overhaul. I did get rid of several bags from the middle by putting those sewing patterns in a box. Which reminds me, I need a better way to organize those patterns. And here's Onyx looking cute. And the turkeys showed up again. There are 6 of them.
