My progress on Dancing Couple. The dragon filet. And look! I finished the lacy cami. A little too poofy for my tastes now that I finished it. Onto etsy it goes. Oh, if the 'skirt' looks different from the last time I posted it, it is. I ripped it out completely and redid it after realizing the 'v-stitch' directions were wrong. (They said ch 1, the remaining instructions always referred to ch 2) The change made the it a much looser, less poofy fabric. I still required an extra ball of yarn than the directions said I would. I didn't get as much done this week as I usually do. I had a two day job as a videographer for an equestrian event. Up at 4am, be there at 6am, show started about 8am, done around 5pm. I've included some pictures I took of the course (in between horses). The first picture is of my company for the morning of the first day. I finished my afghan. Ta da! Put a listing for a custom version on my etsy site. So now that I finished this little project, I went back to my cross-stitch for 2 days and managed to finish page 2 and at least 1/4 of page 3 finished. And I finished the spring semester of my masters! Don't have all my grades in but so far so good. Summer session starts Wednesday. So five days off before two 6 week courses. Plus my summer internships. I did put two of my projects from this semester on youtube. My video editing mid-term and my after effects final.

I finished Sebastian's fan. I think it looks pretty so far. Due to the school having Monday classes on Tuesday, I have a five day weekend and will get a fair amount of stitching in. Of course I have homework to do tomorrow. A cute picture of Onyx from the other day. I also have a video of her trying to cross the snow if anyone's interested.   I did manage to put those two afghans I made on my etsy site if anyone wants to take a look.

I know I usually post on either Saturday or Sunday but I delayed until today thinking I could finish the backstitching. I had some unforeseen events take away my stitching time (a cold and trying to actually watch Citizen Kane for class). I should hopefully be finished this weekend. Which makes me start thinking of what I'm going to work on next. I can either start a new project (Sebastian with a fan perhaps?), go back to my insanity piece, or crochet some more scarves. Which reminds me, I really should take better photos of those two afghans and put them on my etsy shop. Classes are going well although I'm still not too thrilled about the 4-5 hours breaks I have twice a week. I've been looking into dance classes to fill those.

I started this blog one year ago today. I figure I might as well sum up the past year. While I feel 2012 was a bad year for me in general, it was a good year for my crafting. These were my resolutions for last year: 1. Lose another 10 lbs. 2. Finish at least one cross-stitch project that I have in my stash. 3. Organize my craft closet. While I didn't complete #1, I did lose a few pounds. They all came off the first two weeks in December while I did nothing but work on my crafts in my bed while watching Murder She Wrote via Netflix. Go figure. As for #2, I exceeded this goal by finishing five cross-stitch pieces. Granted three of them were acquired after I made that resolution and weren't in my stash... I really outdid myself if you count all the scarves I made. I did complete #3, everything was nicely organized and put away. Then I got more yarn and it got messy again. Oh well. I was going to post this on Saturday, but it got too late. Sunday I just forgot about it. Then it was Christmas Eve so I decided to delay the posting just in case I got something crafty for Christmas. I didn't, but I did get a donut maker. Maybe I'll get something for my birthday next week. Anyway, onto the craft updates. I was working on this felt stocking for the beginning of the week until I got another order of scarves that needed to be done for Christmas presents. Its close to being finished. I'm planning on selling it on Etsy for next Christmas. So the name at the top and the back will be on hold until then. I had to pick up a few colors for the scarves I didn't have so I decided to get the yarn to make an afghan. I had seen a pattern for on the back of of homespun label.
