Sew Dance

Someone wanted a snowlady like the one my mom had on her desk, so I made one. Nose came out cuter than the original. And here's the current progress on Dragon Writer. You can see one of the books on the shelves.  

So, this post is a little later than I've been posting, but as my schedule at work got changed to Monday to Friday (yay!) I figured posting Wednesday was a little odd. Although it's only for the last 2 weeks. I still haven't managed to find a new job, but I've been a bit lazy as my brain has latched on to "Off for the holidays" and also might try and find something not in news. At least something that has snow days. My Halloween costume. This is probably the fourth time I've worn this, but the wig is new. Actually won it last year from Nene Thomas's facebook group. Merry Christmas to all. I completely forgot that I made the snowwoman last week. I waited to take a picture until I could secure the nose, but she had tumbled into a hole behind a box and escaped me. I fixed the doily, but was noticing small bumps on my pinky that I hadn't had in a while. So until that clears up, I switched to a normal hook and started on a granny square afghan. I can also finally show some of the presents I made. The cowl was for a friend I know reads this blog, the pineapple purse for her granddaughter. This is part of the display at the restaurant we go to on Christmas Eve. Here's some of Clyde, trying to look innocent before attempting to get in the bag, on the afghan I made my parents, and playing with his new toy. And now for some presents I bought myself. I ordered the "dragon theme" Fairy Loot box and this is what came in it, including a yet to be released book (on the right). These charts were on clearance ...

So I managed to finish the presents I was making. don't have a finished picture of my dad's basketweave blanket although I finished that while at my parent's house. My mom's angel . My boyfriend's Ninetails. Merry Christmas. Onto my next project.

I did a bit of crocheting this week after finishing the peacock. I actually did two pokeballs. Still have enough yarn to do more if I so choose. Started a new needlepoint. I chose a small one because I want to go back to one of my GKs or HAED's when I finally move, which is starting to look like the beginning of September. It's going a bit quicker than I had thought. Might have to dig out a small one I had previously started. Any suggestions on which one I should go back to?

I barely got anything done last week and by the time I did have something to post it was Tuesday. So I skipped a week. I finished another lamb and made a bunny. I managed to get a little done on Twilight Silhouette, but realized I had chosen the wrong color and had to rip out all of the half stitch black I had done. Lots of solid black stitching to come. Then Onyx decided to be a pair of shoes this morning.

Actually it equals the following: I'm halfway done with Twilight Silhouette, and I've made 1 out of 3 amigurumi. I've also decided I'm on a stash diet. I need to get used to not having the extra cash around to buy things once I finally get a place of my own. Working on it though, the place, not the stash diet.

2016 is so far starting out well for me. Got a full time job that became official on the first. What a lovely birthday present for me. Yay! Less crafting time, but I'll still work on things. Onto the stitching. I finished up two projects that had sat partially completed for a while.  I made the owl tissue box cover. I'll get around to the matching wall hanging and coasters later. And caught Onyx in a cute moment with her tongue out. Got this for my birthday which I had been eyeing for a while. Kind of told my parents to get it while it was at the lowest price I had ever seen it at. Also bought myself a birthday/congratulatory present as Herrschners had given me 15% off as a birthday present. The last two are backordered until March but I wasn't about to start them immediately. I would've gotten something else but I think it may be discontinued...
