I finished page 5 of The Arab Tent last night. Three more full pages and one page of 5 stitches to complete the first row. I don't have much more of an update this week.

      I'm not sure. I know I'm going to finish half this page. The top half is interesting but the bottom half is a lot of brown. I can only take stitching that for so long before I have to put it away again.

SFS2015 - April

Month: April Spent: 72.44 Earned: 16.54 I finished 2 pages of In the Garden and am almost done with a 3rd. I finished lots of crocheted items. I also gained stash. Halloween Fairy, Sunflower Fairy, and Crystal Tree chart downloads and Lilac Fairy, a Vervaco kit that's been on my wishlist for a while. All from Herrschners. Also bought yarn for a few projects, including an afghan as a housewarming gift for a friend. Of course while browsing a site I needed to buy one particular yarn from, I found there were only 3 left of this pattern. And the other was just too cute to resist.  I also won a chart from the Counted Wishes Festival.  I chose Ms. Sable from Blueladie Designs . And this one was a gift (bribe) from my mom.

A bit of ADD

I seem to be a bit all over the place this week. Let me walk you through it. Sunday, I have declared this day to be for 'insanity'. I shall try and keep this up. So Monday, I picked up a new cross-stitch, Mystical Wizard. More on that later but here are the colors. Wednesday, I decided to work on one of my sewing projects. A 17.5" stuffed Christmas tree. I was going to make the 12" one but I had enough fabric if I ignored the included cutting diagram and got away with 1/8" less. But come Thursday, I was tired of my cross stitch. There's only so much I could take of stitching blue on blue, and mainly two colors of blue. Of course the upper left is the least interesting part color-wise of this piece. So I switched to The Accolade. I'll include the last photo I took of it (with my old phone) because I didn't get that many rows finished. And the dress is done.

I promised pictures and I have them. Two at least. I'll eventually get action shots but for now you can imagine what happens when I spin. I do have long gauntlets/gloves that I wear with the dress but I forgot to put them on before taking the pictures. I had a long day at the competition, started at 10:30am didn't finish until probably 10:30pm. 61 dances, smooth and latin. Placed top 3 in all except one where I placed 4th. I'm not usually that tan and it still hasn't completely come off. And the white part of my french manicure is now a bit brown as well. I completely forgot to pick up the DVD I had asked to be taped and now will have to figure out how to get a hold of it. Overall I managed to win $600. Not anywhere near enough to cover the costs but more than I've won previously and should give my credit card a nice relief for next month.
