The afghan is working up quickly but because of the texture, it's hard to pull the yarn through. I will however keep working with thread. I have an explainable love for doilies.
So I've started working on the Aran Hearts Afghan for the wedding present in September. Probably best I started this early because I keep dropping stitches. Got through the entire popcorn section and half of the 2nd arrows when I realized I had dropped 2 after the first arrow section. Say hello to my new floss organization system. I had outgrown my old one of snack bags on rings (I'll still keep those for projects rather than my master set) and got the cabinets this weekend. Ran out of labels so I had to stop on that part of the project. Boyfriend is currently sorting the floss I had in plastic bags. The cabinets are a bit wobbly at the moment, but he'll probably make me a frame we can anchor them to. On another note, I've started contributing articles to footballinhighheels.com .
Month: July Spent: 151.03 Earned: 64 Yeah... I didn't do very well curbing my spending. I did however earn over two months worth in finishes. That should count for something right? So, what I bought... What I finished... With this one coming in at 9:20pm EST 7/28 Onto more ornaments and trying desperately to resist the current Herrchners sale.
I started this a while ago. The Marcelle afghan. But I was running out of yarn on the final round. Put it away for a while. Then forgot where I put my pattern. Found it again. Frogged everything and redid it with a smaller hook. Also messed up on round 71 four times and didn't realize it until round 73... There were only 74 rounds. 2nd pic is it on my queen bed. Now to pick a new project...
Beautiful work. Do you have a preference?
