A month of stitching updates.

I haven't updated in a while. Oops. Started with Cirque des Circles.


Switched over to Once Upon a Fairytale for a while. I was stitching along and got to an 09 in the blue which looked odd. So I ripped out most of the 09 I had already done and restitched. By that point I wasn't into the pattern anymore.


Started a new one Lord Melton the Stitching Dragon. I didn't get very far because of all the quarter stitches plus being somewhat braindead that week didn't mix.


So onto RTO's Tango. Worked on this for about two weeks while trying to finish the latest draft of a script.


Finished the draft and now want to work on something else. So I picked up Royal Games I just now.

Also got a dragon on a spellbook. Rather large at 18x18.

    Love the colour you're using for Circles. The final dragon picture could be cropped to get rid of the top and bottom so it's just the dragon and book, the interesting bits!

      Thanks. As for the dragon, I have a tendency not to crop photos I take. I also clipped a wing off in my framing. I think I was trying not to get my garbage can in the shot.

A bit of ADD

I seem to be a bit all over the place this week. Let me walk you through it. Sunday, I have declared this day to be for 'insanity'. I shall try and keep this up. So Monday, I picked up a new cross-stitch, Mystical Wizard. More on that later but here are the colors. Wednesday, I decided to work on one of my sewing projects. A 17.5" stuffed Christmas tree. I was going to make the 12" one but I had enough fabric if I ignored the included cutting diagram and got away with 1/8" less. But come Thursday, I was tired of my cross stitch. There's only so much I could take of stitching blue on blue, and mainly two colors of blue. Of course the upper left is the least interesting part color-wise of this piece. So I switched to The Accolade. I'll include the last photo I took of it (with my old phone) because I didn't get that many rows finished. Another blanket

 I started this a while ago. The Marcelle afghan. But I was running out of yarn on the final round. Put it away for a while. Then forgot where I put my pattern. Found it again. Frogged everything and redid it with a smaller hook. Also messed up on round 71 four times and didn't realize it until round 73... There were only 74 rounds. 2nd pic is it on my queen bed. Now to pick a new project...

Eclectic update and more stash

Another busy week coupled with the fact that I spent the majority of my free time over the weekend working on my dress caused me not to have that much done on insanity. I did however manage to finish my three pumpkins this week (and had a full ball left over) and also started the snowman tonight as my brain was too tired to deal with insanity. Although I haven't managed to work on certain projects as I would like, I got more stash. I had to go to joann's to pick up thread for my dress last week. While there, I have a tendency to rummange through the other departments to see if anything catches my eye. Although the cross-stitch section isn't all that great, I did find the following: Sebastian and Sebastian rose by Design Works. I was tempted by two other designs featuring a white cat and a leopard purse and one with a leopard shoe, but I prefered these for some reason, maybe Onyx had an influence. They came as a pack.
