Parade of projects?

I didn't continue with the stocking. Wound up with a new knitting project. Got this far before pinching my finger with my tripod making it uncomfortable for me to hold the needle.


So, new project, again. The dice gave me a new crochet kit. The most easily accessible on being this afghan which I don't really remember buying. Oops.


It happens to be Tunisian crochet. I haven't done much of that technique, but while simple enough, getting gauge correct was a PITA. It's not wide enough, yet it's too tall. Given the mosaic nature, if I can't get it correct, the piece won't look good. I didn't feel like dealing with it given so many others that wouldn't frustrate me, so I rolled again.


New cross stitch. It's Only Forever SSMC.


This was my bead stash that came in for 5 different projects.


Also caved to the HAED sale. Most are no background to pair with my hand dyed fabric. The Spangler was because I missed baseball.

However I bought more hand dyed fabrics from Silkweaver's flash sale. I don't know why. Selection? They looked pretty? Maybe getting a cohesive, yet not identical set of 10 for the planet dragons?

I need to go through my patterns and fabric more thoroughly so I can match things up. I've also been adding stash to the projects page based on the former stash list page, but I've gotten to the point where I just dumped photos (some of which are now broken links).

And Clyde got in a paper bag, after knocking out the presents that were inside.

A bit of ADD

I seem to be a bit all over the place this week. Let me walk you through it. Sunday, I have declared this day to be for 'insanity'. I shall try and keep this up. So Monday, I picked up a new cross-stitch, Mystical Wizard. More on that later but here are the colors. Wednesday, I decided to work on one of my sewing projects. A 17.5" stuffed Christmas tree. I was going to make the 12" one but I had enough fabric if I ignored the included cutting diagram and got away with 1/8" less. But come Thursday, I was tired of my cross stitch. There's only so much I could take of stitching blue on blue, and mainly two colors of blue. Of course the upper left is the least interesting part color-wise of this piece. So I switched to The Accolade. I'll include the last photo I took of it (with my old phone) because I didn't get that many rows finished. Another blanket

 I started this a while ago. The Marcelle afghan. But I was running out of yarn on the final round. Put it away for a while. Then forgot where I put my pattern. Found it again. Frogged everything and redid it with a smaller hook. Also messed up on round 71 four times and didn't realize it until round 73... There were only 74 rounds. 2nd pic is it on my queen bed. Now to pick a new project...

Eclectic update and more stash

Another busy week coupled with the fact that I spent the majority of my free time over the weekend working on my dress caused me not to have that much done on insanity. I did however manage to finish my three pumpkins this week (and had a full ball left over) and also started the snowman tonight as my brain was too tired to deal with insanity. Although I haven't managed to work on certain projects as I would like, I got more stash. I had to go to joann's to pick up thread for my dress last week. While there, I have a tendency to rummange through the other departments to see if anything catches my eye. Although the cross-stitch section isn't all that great, I did find the following: Sebastian and Sebastian rose by Design Works. I was tempted by two other designs featuring a white cat and a leopard purse and one with a leopard shoe, but I prefered these for some reason, maybe Onyx had an influence. They came as a pack.
