Congratulations on the Happy Dance for your mermaid! I love her so much, she stays on my wall from January to October when Halloween and then Christmas replace her temporarily.
So finished up a few more ornaments this week. Switched to a bigger project since I'm off this week. Went to my rotation and got this one out. Fun fact, page 2 contains the halfway mark for the width. Haven't made it that far for a HAED before. And more stash. This came in three packages, all left from Chicago at the same time. One arrived last Thursday. One got diverted to Albany somehow and arrived Saturday. And the third took a detour through North Carolina. Given the state of the bag, it may have gotten caught on something else, thus the road trip. I have patterns picked out for some of these, others are still up in the air. Pattern suggestions welcome. The pink, red/black, and black/pink/gray have a metallic thread running through them.
I seem to be a bit all over the place this week. Let me walk you through it. Sunday, I have declared this day to be for 'insanity'. I shall try and keep this up. So Monday, I picked up a new cross-stitch, Mystical Wizard. More on that later but here are the colors. Wednesday, I decided to work on one of my sewing projects. A 17.5" stuffed Christmas tree. I was going to make the 12" one but I had enough fabric if I ignored the included cutting diagram and got away with 1/8" less. But come Thursday, I was tired of my cross stitch. There's only so much I could take of stitching blue on blue, and mainly two colors of blue. Of course the upper left is the least interesting part color-wise of this piece. So I switched to The Accolade. I'll include the last photo I took of it (with my old phone) because I didn't get that many rows finished. But not bad for only two days. And as today is Sunday, I worked on Insanity again. And...
The latest update on Dew Drop Fairy. I wasn't able to post yesterday due to the showcase. I'll get the video up on youtube as soon as my teacher sends it to me. Unfortunately the one I asked someone to record using my phone didn't save. Does anyone remember the picture of the closet I planned to organize as one of my new year's resolutions? I may be cleaning it out sooner than I thought as I'm planning to move into my own apartment later this year, hopefully mid-June. For now I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to organize it there as I'll have significantly smaller space.
