I have a very good reason...

Image
For being late again on my weekly post. I finished the peacock! I also finished the striped tie.   And a happy International Cat Day from Onyx.

Late again

Image
I didn't stitch 3 nights this week. Plus, I seem to get distracted on Sunday nights lately and forget to do a update. I just have half stitches and backstitching left. It will be delayed a tiny bit though I have an order for crocheted ties. Here's the solid And here's the start of the striped. Changing a tunisian pattern into regular crochet isn't that difficult actually. As long as you remember to flip the instructions for every other row. Lots of ends to weave in.

Mine!

My peacock is coming along nicely. Not too much more. I finally closed on my apartment! It's all mine. Say hello to my new craft closet.

Oops, late

Image
I started the last page of my peacocks. I'm late on this post due to being out catching Pokemon last night. I found a pidgey on top of Onyx earlier in the week. She doesn't' seem to care. Also seem to have a new resident to the local wildlife. Was there last night. Was there when I left for a pokemon hunt tonight and was still there when I got back.

Peacock and Onyx

Image
Almost to the bottom of the design on the left side And Onyx looking cute, but her paw (and claws) are too close to my thread...

Another page bites the dust

Done with page 2. Half way complete.   And here's Onyx being cute. She's weird. We had thunderstorms on Friday and she was hiding under the bed. Today we have fireworks and she's not.

Getting ahead

Image
And so does the peacock. I didn't get much stitching time this week due to trains breaking down, and being delayed for various other reasons. Got home at 8pm and 8:30 two nights in a row. Usually I'm home shortly before 6:30. So almost all progress was done this weekend while I watched the various Olympic trials that were on TV.

Next!

Onto the 2nd page. Next week I'll have its head done.

Feathers!

Image
They're starting to appear. I took a break from packing this week which gave me much more stitching time.

Flowers

Image
I had several non-stitching days this week. Also packed almost all of my yarn and fabric. Mostly stitched flowers, but starting to get to the peacock. And Onyx was being a bit odd this week.

Birds of a feather

Say hello to my sleepy night owl. Still need to get the backing fabric and turn him into a pillow, but the stitching is done. And onto another peacock. Once finished and framed, it will go in my kitchen as it goes with my dishes and pots.
