Sew Dance

So, clearly I haven't been keeping this blog up on a weekly basis lately. I've been writing and doing other things at my computer rather than watching TV and crafting. I did however just about finish the first page on Dragon Writer. And I cut out the fabric for the dress. Most of it's sewn but currently in a bit of a ball. I'll get around to finishing it eventually. But this is how I laid out my pattern using my figurines as weights.  

 I've mostly been writing, not a lot of crafting, but I made my parents matching hats for Christmas and the ball for Clyde. Also made one ornament for the tree. Had to have a new one. And I started on a dragon shawl. Lots and lots of crocodile stitches...   Lots of photos of Clyde in the past month.   Silly kitty.

Still haven't done much crafting this week. So much that I didn't take pictures until today. I started Tropical Dream by Teresa Wentzler. 4x2 on 20 ct. And I finally got yarn for an afghan I'm making as a present. Just started part 2 of the Better Together CAL.   Most of my time has been working on the birthday video. Rough cut is done. Now I'm working on transitions and titles.

I had to redo the top left corner because I had messed up on the brown quarter circle. Wasn't that interested in the colors after I redid them. Dice brought up Alcazar of Segovia Castle. A new start. But my focus this week was other projects. One, I got to my 45 page goal for my spec script. Now I just wait for the reboot to see how much I have to change. And I made two Leverage videos. So... Keeping some skills needed for my 2nd career choice from rusting. Bonus if you made it this far, Clyde.

Stitch Maynia has come to and end. I started 31 new projects. 16 with only whole skein amounts known, 11 kits, and 4 HAEDS. I stitched about 184.5 hours during the month for an average of just under 6 hours a day. I'm going to try and focus on WIPs now. I've renumbered my dice rolls and instead of starting with a D12, I'm rolling a D6. Day 24: Tango Day 25: Mosslord Day 26: Looking Glass Day 27: El Vaquero Day 28: Gracious Era Day 29: Little Princess Snow Day 30: The Minstrel Day 31: Legends of the Dragons And I created the video below for Day 31, with a recap.

My projects for the 3rd week of Stitch Maynia. Day 17: Whoo... Whoo... It's Winter The thread was nicely sorted, but it was held together at the ends by a piece of tape (yuck). Day 18: Mythical Mansion SAL The frog visited me a lot during this one. Day 19: Royal Games II Day 20: Wagon Buddies Pillow Day 21: Bluebeard's Princess Day 22: Birds of Paradise Not sure I have enough of the first color, the 3rd 'hank' is half the length of everything else. Day 23: Princess and the Dragon

More Maynia starts. Day 10: Royal Games I Day 11: Celtic Dragon Lands Very small HAED. The stitch at the bottom is the bottom of the piece. Day 12: Fantasy SAL Another Lakeside Needlecraft SAL I'm way behind on. Day 13: Fox This one is wool/acrylic thread. Got a little itchy. Day 14: The Wolf Day 15: Fairy Biscornu Need to pick up Kreink and some beads to finish this. Might have the Kreinik in another WIP. Day 16: Dragon Circle/Maiden This piece was called one thing on the front and another on the chart.

Didn't think taking a picture of where I ended up for Day 3 was worth it, especially since I'm going to re-kit it myself later. But we have Day 4, Black Cat Halloween SAL: Day 5, Leopard by Luca-S: This is my first time working with gridded fabric. While it has a few positives, like counting over to the top left corner after finding the center, I found myself not paying much attention to it. Day 6, Secret Door: Day 7, Cats Through Time SAL: Day 8, Lily Pond Dreams: I had bought the fabric too small and the wrong count. I never really liked the color despite it being the recommended fabric. So I stash dived for a new piece and asked for help with a floss toss . Ended up choosing Charizma which was the overwhelming favorite. Makes it look like twilight too. And Day 9, Cirque des Circles. For a brief moment I thought I had done it again and set aside a too small piece of fabric. Which would have been true it I did this over 2. However it was pefectly adequate for over 1. Which is ...
