Sew Dance

Had to change projects a few times this week. Started with Dragon Carousel which I had been working on for a while. I got bored and tired of dealing with blending filaments. Picked up Fox for a day. But the thread is a wool/acrylic blend and I felt a little itchy. So far Bluebeard's Princess is keeping my attention. And here's Clyde.  

I don't feel like I made much progress. I know there were days I didn't stitch. Somehow I managed to finish page 1 of Dragon Carousel (minus some long things on the border that I'll work on during subsequent pages). Photo really doesn't show how sparkly it is. Most of the gold has kreinik of some kind blending with it.  And here's a photo I took during the snow storm. It was not a good stitching week, but it was a good week for new stash. I think I need to hide my credit card...

So I finished page 3 of the Triptych. Pulled this one out next. Didn't get very far. I seem to have down with a cold, which is impairing my concentration. (Ending up starting a plastic canvas tissue box holder today as it seemed an appropriate item and concentration level.) Picture does not do the sparkly-ness from all the Kreinik justice. And I may have to change my blog update day as my new schedule for the foreseeable future is Wed-Sun. Thus this post on Monday.  Currently debating whether to press purchase on my current Herrschners cart.

My progress on Dragon Carousel, almost finished with page 1. And here's an ornament finish. Unsure if I'm going to bother stiffening it with glue and adding the felt backing.  And I spent all day today on the beading of this. Now to cut it out and add the hanger.  Ended up with an overnight on my work schedule and made the majority of this table topper during it. Needs just a bit of blocking. Came across this little guy in the subway during the week. Now for my stash from the Christmas in July sale at 123stitch. Which has made me switch my focus from working on projects that used my stash of thread to small quick finishes. Mainly ornaments. In my defense, my shopping cart was initially around $400. I severely cut back from everything I wanted.
