The first rolls of the dice

Image
This is where I finished on Once Upon a Fairytale. Just shy of a page finish, but those colors wander onto adjacent pages. My first roll of the dice brought me to A Dragon's Best Friend, one of my rotation from last year. I did the top half of the second page. Next two rolls were some organizing/inventorying. I made this section of my apartment a tiny bit neater than this photo. And found these lovely skeins in a bin of ribbon ruffle yarn. Made  a post  to keep track of it and the eventual project. Next up, Oriental Butterfly. I've had this in my stash for a very long time and haven't worked on it in over 8 years as I had deemed it a travel project. I haven't traveled too much since then. Finished it up with the bottom third, the Chinese characters on the side, and of course, the backstitching. My first finish of 2020 and it's not an ornament. One New Year's Resolution complete. Two more organization rolls yesterday before the final rol...

Frogs have visited

Image
So I finished the bodice of the duster and tried it on. It was way too big and also the weave was too tight. I will have to go up a hook size or two for better drape In the meantime it looks like this... So onto my cross stitch. Remember the last time I picked up "Best Friend"? I got quite a lot farther. So page one done, I went to a WIP I had put down because I had to frog. Ended up frogging most of what I had done today (4 rows) and did manage to redo and complete more before taking this photo. But the frog has come to visit this week. I wonder if it's mad that I got rid of the fly that got into my apartment. Took a few cool pictures of the sunset Tuesday night. Also some of Clyde, here's my favorite. And I picked up more stash. I saw these on the specials page of abcstitch... The ornaments I had thought were cute a while ago. The last one "Russian Hunting" was an impulse buy, mainly because it was so discounted an...

Case of the missing stash

Image
I'm losing stash. I went to rescan Stroke of Midnight and can't find the pattern book. I can find volume 2, but have no clue where volume 1 went. I looked in all the obvious places. I gave up after a while and started Best Friends. Unfortunately, I'm missing a blending filiment I thought I had, turns out it's a #4 braid that was in my stash. So onto another one. Dragon Carousel. Turns out I can't find my 002HL blending filament. At this point in the night, I don't feel like starting a new one, so I pick up one I've already started. Remember this one? I did manage to find something I had been looking for. The instructions for the crocheted snowman. Although the body and scarf are in one location and the other accessories are somewhere else. I think with some yarn. Anyway, here's the next part of the mystery CAL afghan. And I worked on this during my overnight shift. My headache from the impending rain was too bad for me to cr...
