Progress and rolling dice

Image
Page 2 is complete. Few stray stitches near the edges that I'll fill in with the neighboring pages. Then finished part 7 of the Mystery SAL. Still think it's a bird of some sort. And the dice picked this. May continue, may roll again. Did the gingerbread, candy cane, and spearamint on the right side. Next part is the heel... Some Clyde photos I took this week. Only place I've been is my parents. Was going to start a new job Monday, but have pushed back that start date until things are safer health-wise. I would have been commuting into Manhattan... Also bought stash, mostly to make/finish patterns already in my possession.

Caught up, finished, back to books

I caught up with the Lanarte Mystery SAL. Part 6 was quick and I finished that Friday. I made the tassels and attached them to the Wonderland Wrap CAL. I left it as is because it would've taken more time to figure out which 2 rows to remove. And back to OUaF and it's books. Didn't get as much time stitching on this because the very annoying noise caused in some capacity from a pipe behind my wall by my couch was being super annoying. So I went and read in my bed.

CAL and SAL only this week

Just finished part 4 of Lanarte's Mystery SAL. Pictures of parts 2-4 below. This took all week minus Monday which was for the Wonderland CAL. My second cake had a longer color in the middle making my navy ends off. Still debating to rip and take two rows out, leave it, or make the sides uneven by doing two more rows. Either way, the tassels are the last part tomorrow. Also finished adding complete and in progress projects to that page, at least ones that I've posted about since I started this blog in 2012 (8 years!). A few I'm still deciding whether they should be wips or finished. Also I don't have ornaments listed. That would take up too much space.

Look books!

Books have appeared on page 2 of Once Upon a Fairytale.  I also finished part 4 of the Wonderland Wrap CAL. And since my Mystery SAL kit came Friday, I started stitching that. Managed to get part 1 done. Part 5 comes out Friday so hopefully part 5 of the Wrap doesn't take too long so I can get back to OUaF at some point this week. Don't know if anyone noticed, but I redid my 'pages' on my blog. I replaced my stash list page with projects. It should be more neatly organized and not have so many broken links. I started with in progress ones that I've worked on since I started my blog. I will continue to update with other WIPs, finished, and the rest of my stash. Also did some organizing/inventorying of my cross stitch fabrics. I pulled out my "bag of fabric" and made a list of the sizes. I have a better idea of the hand-dyed ones and hopefully can pair them with some no background pieces (Rudolph and Purple Dragon come to mind). I also m

Rolling the dice

So I made the baseball to go with the basketball. And then the dice had me inventorying one of my fabric drawers. It was filled with remnants, linings, and over four yards of a stretch leopard. I figured I had projects in mind for the lining fabrics, and possibly the leopard. This isn't all of them, but it'll give you a good example of what's in my stash. Next roll brought me to a box. I knew which one I was going to work on, and it was right on top. So, one plastic canvas kit complete. Next project was Spirit of the Black Leopard which was my vacation project last year. I finished the first page. And now I'm back to Once Upon a Fairytale. I'm not doing good sticking to not buying stash. A rare 54% off sale at HAED allowed me to buy PDFs of most of my paper charts for less than the upgrade price. Which I couldn't use anyway because they were bought from a different retailer. And then I bought 3 new ones. And Clyde
