Another blanket

 I started this a while ago. The Marcelle afghan. But I was running out of yarn on the final round. Put it away for a while. Then forgot where I put my pattern. Found it again. Frogged everything and redid it with a smaller hook. Also messed up on round 71 four times and didn't realize it until round 73... There were only 74 rounds. 2nd pic is it on my queen bed. Now to pick a new project...

I've had a bad week.

This week has been pretty cruddy to me. It started off with me having to find a new job. My  LinkedIn profile  if anyone is interested. I also had to say goodbye to Onyx. She suddenly went downhill starting on Wednesday. I had her for 12 years and I miss her. As for crafting, I started to get bored with Insanity. Switched over to an afghan I had started a while ago that I found tucked away in my closet (of doom) And have pulled out TW's Romeo and Juliette. Which I don't think I've worked on since I started this blog. I did end up going on a tiny bit of a stash spending spree just because I was miserable. Got the last peacocks and also bought some yarn. I had to order yarn anyway because I'm making an afghan as a wedding present. I leave you with a few of my favorite pictures of my Onyx.

DWTS season 20: cast reveal

Season 20 is almost upon us and the cast has been revealed! Patti LaBelle with Artem. I want to see her do well, but it's been proven that singing ability doesn't always translate to dancing ability with older people. Riker Lynch with Allison. He was on "Glee" therefore he can perform choreography. Whether he can pick up the proper technique is another issue. Charlotte McKinney with Keo. Models tend to be gone pretty quickly due to lack of fan base. Paired with Keo who was out week 1 last season (despite staying around for troupe numbers) and I don't know if that's going to change. Michael Sam with Peta. Football players are usually good with dancing ability. Willow Shields with Mark. An actress, could go either way. Rumer Willis with Val. Official press has her as an actress/singer but other sources say she has some dance performances under her belt. I think she'll go far. Noah Galloway with Sharna.
