Bit of a catchall

 Clearly I haven't been posting too much. Lots of other things I'm doing and not as much crafting. As it's colder and I won't overheat from crocheting. I put Royal Games II away. I'm about halfway done with the stitching. Made these three Halloween shelf sitters. Using the anniversary cakes, made this blanket. I'm currently working on another one in brown and red. And this is the Western Skies afghan that's been in my stash since before I moved. And Clyde:

A bit of ADD

I seem to be a bit all over the place this week. Let me walk you through it. Sunday, I have declared this day to be for 'insanity'. I shall try and keep this up. So Monday, I picked up a new cross-stitch, Mystical Wizard. More on that later but here are the colors. Wednesday, I decided to work on one of my sewing projects. A 17.5" stuffed Christmas tree. I was going to make the 12" one but I had enough fabric if I ignored the included cutting diagram and got away with 1/8" less. But come Thursday, I was tired of my cross stitch. There's only so much I could take of stitching blue on blue, and mainly two colors of blue. Of course the upper left is the least interesting part color-wise of this piece. So I switched to The Accolade. I'll include the last photo I took of it (with my old phone) because I didn't get that many rows finished. DWTS Season 23: week 7

Take a trip through the decades. And a second (team) dance Laurie. They lost some of the body contact I usually see from them in hold. But it was fun and entertaining. A little low. Ryan. She danced around him. Why were promenade runs and viennese crosses involved? It didn't match the music. I saw no rumba or hips. Way too high. 5s is generous, 7s are blatant overscoring. Marilu. She couldn't match his energy level at the beginning and it just got worse the farther it went. Too high. But she still did more then Ryan. Calvin. Pretty good. I saw some basic jive steps. Technique wasn't perfect but it was fun. I'll give him the scores. Maureen. That dance felt too slow and soft for the song. Also last time they used that song I think it was a paso. Too high. Terra. Cute. The dress made it difficult to see her footwork and lines. I agree with the scores. Jana. Fun. But her footwork was sloppy during the actual samba steps. A little high for m...
