More ornaments

So finished up a few more ornaments this week.




Switched to a bigger project since I'm off this week. Went to my rotation and got this one out. Fun fact, page 2 contains the halfway mark for the width. Haven't made it that far for a HAED before.


And more stash. This came in three packages, all left from Chicago at the same time. One arrived last Thursday. One got diverted to Albany somehow and arrived Saturday. And the third took a detour through North Carolina. Given the state of the bag, it may have gotten caught on something else, thus the road trip.


I have patterns picked out for some of these, others are still up in the air. Pattern suggestions welcome. The pink, red/black, and black/pink/gray have a metallic thread running through them.

Eclectic update and more stash

Another busy week coupled with the fact that I spent the majority of my free time over the weekend working on my dress caused me not to have that much done on insanity. I did however manage to finish my three pumpkins this week (and had a full ball left over) and also started the snowman tonight as my brain was too tired to deal with insanity. Although I haven't managed to work on certain projects as I would like, I got more stash. I had to go to joann's to pick up thread for my dress last week. While there, I have a tendency to rummange through the other departments to see if anything catches my eye. Although the cross-stitch section isn't all that great, I did find the following: Sebastian and Sebastian rose by Design Works. I was tempted by two other designs featuring a white cat and a leopard purse and one with a leopard shoe, but I prefered these for some reason, maybe Onyx had an influence. They came as a pack. And the dress is done.

I promised pictures and I have them. Two at least. I'll eventually get action shots but for now you can imagine what happens when I spin. I do have long gauntlets/gloves that I wear with the dress but I forgot to put them on before taking the pictures. I had a long day at the competition, started at 10:30am didn't finish until probably 10:30pm. 61 dances, smooth and latin. Placed top 3 in all except one where I placed 4th. I'm not usually that tan and it still hasn't completely come off. And the white part of my french manicure is now a bit brown as well. I completely forgot to pick up the DVD I had asked to be taped and now will have to figure out how to get a hold of it. Overall I managed to win $600. Not anywhere near enough to cover the costs but more than I've won previously and should give my credit card a nice relief for next month. DWTS season 16: week 8

Next week is the semi-finals. Eek! Zendaya. A happy foxtrot. Odd music, but it worked. Smooth and graceful. I'll agree with the scores but depending on the rest of the night they could be higher. Sean. He looked like he was thinking too much. His posture was leaning towards Peta and his butt was sticking out. I guess I'll agree with the scores. Jacoby. I felt as if he could have stood up straighter. His footwork looked a bit odd at times. Ingo. It wasn't bad, but he could've been smoother in the footwork. He stepped back instead of gliding. I guess I'll give them the scores. Kellie. Why was she in place so much at the beginning? Then when they finally start to dance, I couldn't see her feet because of the fog. It was pretty.
