DWTS Season 16 announcement

The cast is here, and my opinions prior to seeing any of them dance: Grammy winner Wynonna Judd with Tony Dovolani As an older woman, she can either be really bad (too many of Tony's past partners to mention) or not so bad. Will she win? Probably not. But she may get to mid season if she's halfway decent. Political commentator DL Hugley with Cheryl Burke Comedian's have a tendency to be bad dancers on this show. Cheryl better cross her fingers he knows how to move. Baltimore Raven Jacoby Jones with Karina Smirnoff Moves on the field have a tendency to translate to the dance floor even if some aspects of the technique are missing. He should place well. Real Housewife Lisa Vanderpump with Gleb Savchenko I don't watch any of these kind of reality shows so I have no idea who she is. The pro is new as well, so he doesn't bring much of a fan base with him as some other pros. But he looks pretty hot. If she can dance and they manage to win the hearts, at least ...

Despite the long weekend, I didn't get as much done as I thought I would. I think my main problem was I created a pinterest account http://pinterest.com/khascat/ if anyone's interested. Some things you've seen on my blog, I figured I might as well try and get a little more traffic to my blog by pinning some photos from here. I did get the majority of Sebastian's body done. Which leaves his legs and then the finishing back-stitching, french knots, and beads. Those won't take so long as they're concentrated on his head and the fan.   Tuesday morning, the cast of season 16 of Dancing with the Stars gets announced my opinion posts will be coming back. I'll be spending the rest of the weekend writing up a synopsis of either my 2010 NaNoNovel (Lost Princess) or 2011 NaNoNovel (Lantis) to turn into a script for one of my classes. Lost Princess lends itself more to a tv series, while Lantis is a movie or mini-series. I'm leaning towards Lost Prince...

A long weekend

I finished Sebastian's fan. I think it looks pretty so far. Due to the school having Monday classes on Tuesday, I have a five day weekend and will get a fair amount of stitching in. Of course I have homework to do tomorrow. A cute picture of Onyx from the other day. I also have a video of her trying to cross the snow if anyone's interested.   I did manage to put those two afghans I made on my etsy site if anyone wants to take a look.

Snow days and a finish

I've been home all week with a pretty annoying cold and a fever that at one point was 100.7. So, I managed to finish Jewels of the Orient. Ta da! And I started my other Sebastian project. He has a fan this time. The north east got hit by a blizzard this weekend. Below is my back porch as seen through the screen door. Probably about 18 inches total. And we also have this giant icicle. Probably about 3-3.5 feet long.

Hello February

I know I usually post on either Saturday or Sunday but I delayed until today thinking I could finish the backstitching. I had some unforeseen events take away my stitching time (a cold and trying to actually watch Citizen Kane for class). I should hopefully be finished this weekend. Which makes me start thinking of what I'm going to work on next. I can either start a new project (Sebastian with a fan perhaps?), go back to my insanity piece, or crochet some more scarves. Which reminds me, I really should take better photos of those two afghans and put them on my etsy shop. Classes are going well although I'm still not too thrilled about the 4-5 hours breaks I have twice a week. I've been looking into dance classes to fill those.
