Despite the long weekend, I didn't get as much done as I thought I would. I think my main problem was I created a pinterest account http://pinterest.com/khascat/ if anyone's interested. Some things you've seen on my blog, I figured I might as well try and get a little more traffic to my blog by pinning some photos from here.

I did get the majority of Sebastian's body done. Which leaves his legs and then the finishing back-stitching, french knots, and beads. Those won't take so long as they're concentrated on his head and the fan.
 

Tuesday morning, the cast of season 16 of Dancing with the Stars gets announced my opinion posts will be coming back.

I'll be spending the rest of the weekend writing up a synopsis of either my 2010 NaNoNovel (Lost Princess) or 2011 NaNoNovel (Lantis) to turn into a script for one of my classes. Lost Princess lends itself more to a tv series, while Lantis is a movie or mini-series. I'm leaning towards Lost Princess and saving Lantis for my own time, possibly for Script Frenzy (very similar to NaNoWriMo, but in April and you write 100 pages of scripts.)

I'm probably going to start this dress soon. A friend of mine recently got the same pattern and we may do a stitch-a-long. I'm going to make the shorter version but in red. I got the fabric two years ago and just haven't started it yet. I still need a zipper, the d-rings, 1/2" ribbon, and another package of boning but I can pick those up easy enough.

A bit of ADD

I seem to be a bit all over the place this week. Let me walk you through it. Sunday, I have declared this day to be for 'insanity'. I shall try and keep this up. So Monday, I picked up a new cross-stitch, Mystical Wizard. More on that later but here are the colors. Wednesday, I decided to work on one of my sewing projects. A 17.5" stuffed Christmas tree. I was going to make the 12" one but I had enough fabric if I ignored the included cutting diagram and got away with 1/8" less. But come Thursday, I was tired of my cross stitch. There's only so much I could take of stitching blue on blue, and mainly two colors of blue. Of course the upper left is the least interesting part color-wise of this piece. So I switched to The Accolade. I'll include the last photo I took of it (with my old phone) because I didn't get that many rows finished. But not bad for only two days.   And as today is Sunday, I worked on Insanity again. And

Eclectic update and more stash

Another busy week coupled with the fact that I spent the majority of my free time over the weekend working on my dress caused me not to have that much done on insanity. I did however manage to finish my three pumpkins this week (and had a full ball left over) and also started the snowman tonight as my brain was too tired to deal with insanity. Although I haven't managed to work on certain projects as I would like, I got more stash. I had to go to joann's to pick up thread for my dress last week. While there, I have a tendency to rummange through the other departments to see if anything catches my eye. Although the cross-stitch section isn't all that great, I did find the following: Sebastian and Sebastian rose by Design Works. I was tempted by two other designs featuring a white cat and a leopard purse and one with a leopard shoe, but I prefered these for some reason, maybe Onyx had an influence. They came as a pack. And the dress is done.

I promised pictures and I have them. Two at least. I'll eventually get action shots but for now you can imagine what happens when I spin. I do have long gauntlets/gloves that I wear with the dress but I forgot to put them on before taking the pictures. I had a long day at the competition, started at 10:30am didn't finish until probably 10:30pm. 61 dances, smooth and latin. Placed top 3 in all except one where I placed 4th. I'm not usually that tan and it still hasn't completely come off. And the white part of my french manicure is now a bit brown as well. I completely forgot to pick up the DVD I had asked to be taped and now will have to figure out how to get a hold of it. Overall I managed to win $600. Not anywhere near enough to cover the costs but more than I've won previously and should give my credit card a nice relief for next month. I had mentioned due to preparation for the competition, I wouldn't have much time for stitching. I was correct. Not
