No backstitching means quicker finish. I ran out of a red thread, but as usual I had it in my stash. Onto my next project: Garnet Fairy. As I finally have all of the specialty threads.

DWTS Season 22: Week 3

Grab the tissues. Ginger. It was cute. A bit staccato. I'll give her the scores. Doug. Footwork was atrocious and overall jerky. Good partnering though. Too high. Kim. Not bad. Frame could be better but the foxtrot was just above walking through it. A little high for me. Von. Meh. Not very fluid, a bit dance by numbers. Too high. Marla. Hello Stamford DWM. Footwork was muddy. Kicks and flicks needed to be sharper. A little high but I'll give it to her. Antonio. He kept rushing a bit. Other parts were too sharp. I saw hopping. Another blanket

 I started this a while ago. The Marcelle afghan. But I was running out of yarn on the final round. Put it away for a while. Then forgot where I put my pattern. Found it again. Frogged everything and redid it with a smaller hook. Also messed up on round 71 four times and didn't realize it until round 73... There were only 74 rounds. 2nd pic is it on my queen bed. Now to pick a new project...

End of april

It is almost the end of April which means this month's 'blue' theme is almost over. The next chosen color is purple. I'm probably going to keep working on Dew Drop Fairy as there is purple in this and I'm not quite tired of the design yet. I did finish the first two pages of the design, the third page is skinnier than the first two so it shouldn't take as long The sewing pattern I ordered was still on backorder and would possibly take up to three weeks to come. My performance is in three weeks. I called the local fabric store and thankfully they had it in stock. So I have my pattern, I cut it out and made the modifications for my length and have everything downstairs to cut the fabric tomorrow. I may make a modification to the sleeve pattern to make it more suitable for lifting my arms. We finished the choreography for the showcase today.
