2016 is so far starting out well for me. Got a full time job that became official on the first. What a lovely birthday present for me. Yay! Less crafting time, but I'll still work on things.

Onto the stitching. I finished up two projects that had sat partially completed for a while.


 I made the owl tissue box cover. I'll get around to the matching wall hanging and coasters later.


And caught Onyx in a cute moment with her tongue out.


Got this for my birthday which I had been eyeing for a while. Kind of told my parents to get it while it was at the lowest price I had ever seen it at.


Also bought myself a birthday/congratulatory present as Herrschners had given me 15% off as a birthday present.

The last two are backordered until March but I wasn't about to start them immediately. I would've gotten something else but I think it may be discontinued...

      Vervaco, Kustom Krafts, and Craftways. In order if I remember off the top of my head correctly. Although I've gotten a letter that they're having trouble locating a supplier for the last two. :(

Eclectic update and more stash

Another busy week coupled with the fact that I spent the majority of my free time over the weekend working on my dress caused me not to have that much done on insanity. I did however manage to finish my three pumpkins this week (and had a full ball left over) and also started the snowman tonight as my brain was too tired to deal with insanity. Although I haven't managed to work on certain projects as I would like, I got more stash. I had to go to joann's to pick up thread for my dress last week. While there, I have a tendency to rummange through the other departments to see if anything catches my eye. Although the cross-stitch section isn't all that great, I did find the following: Sebastian and Sebastian rose by Design Works. I was tempted by two other designs featuring a white cat and a leopard purse and one with a leopard shoe, but I prefered these for some reason, maybe Onyx had an influence. They came as a pack. I finished page 5 of The Arab Tent last night. Three more full pages and one page of 5 stitches to complete the first row. I don't have much more of an update this week.

Another blanket

 I started this a while ago. The Marcelle afghan. But I was running out of yarn on the final round. Put it away for a while. Then forgot where I put my pattern. Found it again. Frogged everything and redid it with a smaller hook. Also messed up on round 71 four times and didn't realize it until round 73... There were only 74 rounds. 2nd pic is it on my queen bed. Now to pick a new project...
