DWTS Seasion 22: Cast announcement
And another season is upon us. Time to see who our cast is.
1. Actress Marla Maples (Donald Trump’s ex-wife) partnered with Tony Dovolani
While it's nice to know she's famous for something other than being his ex. I don't think he needs any more publicity than he's getting. She seems to be one of the younger women Tony has been paired with.
2. “The O.C.” alum Mischa Barton partnered with Artem Chigvintsev
I never watched this show, but nice to know Artem's back.
3. Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown partnered with Sharna Burgess
I think this is a position that's good at running. So fitness level should be there.
4. Former NFL quarterback Doug Flutie partnered with Karina Smirnoff
Quarterbacks usually have some agility and do fairly decently. although I'm unsure of how long he's been retired.
5. Boyz II Men’s Wanya Morris partnered with Lindsay Arnold
He should have rhythm, but stamina and choreography may be beyond him. Boyz II Men is not known to be dancers.
6. Mixed martial artist Paige VanZant partnered with Mark Ballas
This should be interesting. Typically boxers/fighters don't do well.
7. Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller partnered with Witney Carson
Hopefully he's light on his feet because linebackers are not the most svelt of the football players.
8. Talk show host Geraldo Rivera partnered with Edyta Sliwinska
The 'old man' of the season let's hope his age doesn't limit his ability.
9. “Real Housewives of Atlanta” cast member and former “The Facts of Life” star Kim Fields partnered with Sasha Farber
No clue who she is. Congrats to Sasha for making pro this season.
10. ABC News’ chief meteorologist Ginger Zee partnered with Val Chmerkovskiy
No clue again. But Val usually gets decent partners lately.
11. “Full House” and “Fuller House” actress Jodie Sweetin partnered with Keo Motsepe
I saw a little teaser of their rehearsals and while I can't say how far she'll get, at least she should be able to get Keo past the first few eliminations.
12. “America’s Next Top Model” winner Nyle DiMarco partnered with Peta Murgatroyd
Um, hot guy model usually means going home first. Sorry Peta. More time to plan your wedding?

What's with the three football players this season?
I feel very old since you don't know who Tootie from The Facts of Life is. :) Doug Flutie was a great football player, and I think he's been retired for 10 years or so. He's probably in his 50s.
