Going to finish those up then make some ornaments. Then maybe I'll crochet until the new year. I think I'll start Dragon Dancer just to get some pink in my rotation.

DWTS Season 28: Week 7

Happy Halloween! That was a fun opening. Kel. Not a lot of jive and the bit I did see wasn't that good. He kept his legs too far apart during the chasses and kind of just jumped. It was fun to watch but for the dance he was supposed to do, not the greatest. Too high. James. Two odd transitions, but I loved it. I agree with the scores. Ally. It didn't draw me in. Maybe it was the music. I don't know. Maybe not 9s. but better then Kel. Hannah. Felt like a dance by numbers. Too high. Karamo. Felt frantic especially at the beginning. His hips were too far back. Too high. Lauren. Not bad. The pauses seemed to drop the energy. Tad high. Sean. He looked like he pranced through the jive. Frankenstein was an appropriate character. Too high.  Kate. A bit of ADD

I seem to be a bit all over the place this week. Let me walk you through it. Sunday, I have declared this day to be for 'insanity'. I shall try and keep this up. So Monday, I picked up a new cross-stitch, Mystical Wizard. More on that later but here are the colors. Wednesday, I decided to work on one of my sewing projects. A 17.5" stuffed Christmas tree. I was going to make the 12" one but I had enough fabric if I ignored the included cutting diagram and got away with 1/8" less. But come Thursday, I was tired of my cross stitch. There's only so much I could take of stitching blue on blue, and mainly two colors of blue. Of course the upper left is the least interesting part color-wise of this piece. So I switched to The Accolade. I'll include the last photo I took of it (with my old phone) because I didn't get that many rows finished. Only 152 more to go. Sort of. Luckily the the last page of the row (17) and the bottom rows (9) are only about 6 stitches wide. This wraps up my 'blue' month SAL for one of my stitching groups. I'll continue to work on this. Oh remember that fabric set I ordered over a month ago ( this one )? It came Friday. Now to make the dress for the September 29th showcase. That gives me four weeks. Thankfully I got the bodysuit done today, or rather the elastic on the bottom. This is one of the few places I can't fudge later on. I'll post pictures of the actual fabrics in another post along with progress on the dress. This will also count as September's 'red' theme SAL for the stitching group.
