DWTS Season 27: Cast announcement
And we're once again gearing up for another season of rhinestones under the mirror ball.
Bobby Bones w/ Sharna. Radio show host. I've never heard of this guy, but he seems fun as he came out during the announcement. I have a feeling he'll be all limbs during the latin dances though.
DeMarcus Ware w/ Lindsay Arnold. Football player. So these guys can be hit or miss in dancing ability, but always fan favorites and make it near the end. We shall see how he stacks up against the others.
Milo Manheim w/ Witney Carson. Disney channel actor. I don't know about his dancing ability, but most Disney kids tend to be high energy which will work with the fast dances. But who knows how he'll take to the others.
Danielle Umstead w/ Artem Chigvintsev. Paraolympian. So, I'm pretty sure this is our first visually impaired contestant. Depending on how much of her sight she still has, it'll be interesting to see how Artem teaches her.
Joe “Grocery Store Joe” Amabile w/ Jenna Johnson. Bachelorette contestant. I know nothing about this guy. But contestants from this show tend to at least make it midway through the season if they're halfway decent.
John Schneider w/ Emma Slater. Actor. Best known for Dukes of Hazard, I hope the "old man" of the competition isn't completely without rhythm. But he may fall into the "can't dance but amazing personality" category.
Nancy McKeon w/ Val Chmerkovskiy. Actress. The Facts of Life is not a show I watched. Not even in reruns. Can she dance? Hopefully just to keep Val around for a while.
Mary Lou Retton w/ Sasha Farber. Gymnast. Gymnasts tend to do well, but they also have appeared soon after an olympic games. Mary Lou competed over 30 years ago, although I believe she's still a ball of energy and should mesh well with the high energy dances.
Tinashe w/ Brandon Armstrong. Singer. The name doesn't ring a bell for me, but I've probably heard a song from her. But without name recognition, she needs to be good to compete with everyone else this season, especially with a new pro.
Juan Pablo Di Pace w/ Cheryl Burke. Actor. From what I'm reading, he started off in musicals, so he's used to choeography. He's also easy on the eyes so I predict he'll make it to top 5 or 6.
Nikki Glaser w/ Gleb Savchenko. Comedian. Depending on the humor, comedian's can be off puting to voters. And they also tend to have no rhythm.
Alexis Ren w/ Alan Bersten. Instagram model. Who? Granted my instagram account is for Clyde, but I'm pretty sure she's going to be the first to go.
Evanna Lynch w/ Keo Motsepe. Actress. Known for playing Luna Lovegood in the Harry Potter movies, she will hopefully have enough of a fanbase to keep Keo around a bit. If she can dance, even better.
