DWTS Season 27: Week 7

Country night

John. Not sure how that was jazz, but it was fun. Too high.

Evanna. No hips. Too much spinning and posing. Her hands were expressive but I'm not really sure what the judges saw. Not 10s.

Ah, pretty pro interlude.

Juan Pablo. Country Charleston? Odd. He had some trouble with the side flicks. Jeans too tight? Little high.

Joe. That just looked awkward. Way too high.

Milo. Not bad. A bit fast for a foxtrot. Suit fabric is a bit odd. Little high but i'll give him the scores.

Ooh, hot shirtless men. 

Demarcus. Pretty good. Very pretty. I'll give him the scores. 

Alexis. No hips. Some bounce, but it looked odd. Too high. 

Bobby. Posture wasn't good. Seemed rushed and off time the entire dance. Too high. 

Team dances. 

Team hay now. Cute, fun. I'll give them the scores.

Team Joe down. Cute. Could tell how was the weak link of the group. I guess I'll give them the scores.

Going home are Demarcus and John. 

Still waiting for Joe and Bobby to leave.

Eclectic update and more stash

Another busy week coupled with the fact that I spent the majority of my free time over the weekend working on my dress caused me not to have that much done on insanity. I did however manage to finish my three pumpkins this week (and had a full ball left over) and also started the snowman tonight as my brain was too tired to deal with insanity. Although I haven't managed to work on certain projects as I would like, I got more stash. I had to go to joann's to pick up thread for my dress last week. While there, I have a tendency to rummange through the other departments to see if anything catches my eye. Although the cross-stitch section isn't all that great, I did find the following: Sebastian and Sebastian rose by Design Works. I was tempted by two other designs featuring a white cat and a leopard purse and one with a leopard shoe, but I prefered these for some reason, maybe Onyx had an influence. They came as a pack. And the dress is done.

I promised pictures and I have them. Two at least. I'll eventually get action shots but for now you can imagine what happens when I spin. I do have long gauntlets/gloves that I wear with the dress but I forgot to put them on before taking the pictures. I had a long day at the competition, started at 10:30am didn't finish until probably 10:30pm. 61 dances, smooth and latin. Placed top 3 in all except one where I placed 4th. I'm not usually that tan and it still hasn't completely come off. And the white part of my french manicure is now a bit brown as well. I completely forgot to pick up the DVD I had asked to be taped and now will have to figure out how to get a hold of it. Overall I managed to win $600. Not anywhere near enough to cover the costs but more than I've won previously and should give my credit card a nice relief for next month. I had mentioned due to preparation for the competition, I wouldn't have much time for stitching. I was correct. Not
