Clearly I haven't been posting too much. Lots of other things I'm doing and not as much crafting. As it's colder and I won't overheat from crocheting. I put Royal Games II away. I'm about halfway done with the stitching. Made these three Halloween shelf sitters. Using the anniversary cakes, made this blanket. I'm currently working on another one in brown and red. And this is the Western Skies afghan that's been in my stash since before I moved. And Clyde:
I seem to be a bit all over the place this week. Let me walk you through it. Sunday, I have declared this day to be for 'insanity'. I shall try and keep this up. So Monday, I picked up a new cross-stitch, Mystical Wizard. More on that later but here are the colors. Wednesday, I decided to work on one of my sewing projects. A 17.5" stuffed Christmas tree. I was going to make the 12" one but I had enough fabric if I ignored the included cutting diagram and got away with 1/8" less. But come Thursday, I was tired of my cross stitch. There's only so much I could take of stitching blue on blue, and mainly two colors of blue. Of course the upper left is the least interesting part color-wise of this piece. So I switched to The Accolade. I'll include the last photo I took of it (with my old phone) because I didn't get that many rows finished. But not bad for only two days. And as today is Sunday, I worked on Insanity again. And...
Now, my goals from next year. Find a full-time job. Improve my stamina. Finish 2 cross-stitch projects and 2 pages of a GK/HAED. And the results. Almost? Yeah. Didn't happen. Will this year just from not being able to sit all day, hopefully. Finished 10 cross stitch pieces and 29 ornaments for a total of 39, 16 crochet projects, 4 other craft projects, and 4 pages of In the Garden (not a GK/HAED but I'll take it). I think I counted correctly. Maybe I should set my goals a little higher? Completed 2/3 although managed to go way beyond number 3. Goals for 2016. Turn yarn/fabric stash into finished projects. I figure I should cut down my stash in my closet. Yarn/fabric is bulkier and heavier than my cross stitch so I may concentrate on those. Get back to dancing. Which should help improve my unmet goal (2) from last year. I will get back to insanity. But the height of my bed plus my new lamp hasn't made working on GK's easy to use the magnifying glass...
Congratulations on the Happy Dance for this design. It's a real favourite of mine but I wouldn't be able to decide which way to hang it!
ReplyDeleteThat's a beautiful finish. Congrats!
