A slight change of plans

I'm a bit late on my weekly post. I finished the first page of Celestial Dragon. I do like the color blends on the dragon, especially the tail. As I started on the second page, I then noticed I had added an extra stitch, causing the entire section of the right square to be shifted over by one. Which means I have to frog it.


That was Thursday night. Friday i didn't feel like frogging. Just something a bit less taxing. So crochet it was, but not something I had to think about where I left off. So I started a new afghan.


And just for cuteness factor, Onyx drinking the remains of my mom's tea.
 
Excuse me while I go frog some stitches on this snowy day.

    Having to frog does put a damper on wanting to work on a piece. All of your projects look great.

Eclectic update and more stash

Another busy week coupled with the fact that I spent the majority of my free time over the weekend working on my dress caused me not to have that much done on insanity. I did however manage to finish my three pumpkins this week (and had a full ball left over) and also started the snowman tonight as my brain was too tired to deal with insanity. Although I haven't managed to work on certain projects as I would like, I got more stash. I had to go to joann's to pick up thread for my dress last week. While there, I have a tendency to rummange through the other departments to see if anything catches my eye. Although the cross-stitch section isn't all that great, I did find the following: Sebastian and Sebastian rose by Design Works. I was tempted by two other designs featuring a white cat and a leopard purse and one with a leopard shoe, but I prefered these for some reason, maybe Onyx had an influence. They came as a pack. And the dress is done.

I promised pictures and I have them. Two at least. I'll eventually get action shots but for now you can imagine what happens when I spin. I do have long gauntlets/gloves that I wear with the dress but I forgot to put them on before taking the pictures. I had a long day at the competition, started at 10:30am didn't finish until probably 10:30pm. 61 dances, smooth and latin. Placed top 3 in all except one where I placed 4th. I'm not usually that tan and it still hasn't completely come off. And the white part of my french manicure is now a bit brown as well. I completely forgot to pick up the DVD I had asked to be taped and now will have to figure out how to get a hold of it. Overall I managed to win $600. Not anywhere near enough to cover the costs but more than I've won previously and should give my credit card a nice relief for next month. I had mentioned due to preparation for the competition, I wouldn't have much time for stitching. I was correct. Not

I finished page 5 of The Arab Tent last night. Three more full pages and one page of 5 stitches to complete the first row. I don't have much more of an update this week.
