DWTS Season 28: Week 6

That opening skit confused me. And we're already halfway through the season? Sheesh.

Ally. That song made the Quickstep seem even more frenetic than usual. They seemed off. A bit high.

Kate. Really long fleckerl segment, not too long. A little too upright and some accents made it a bit jerky. Not worth 9s.

Kel. It was fun to watch. Don't get the polka dots on the costumes. Still don't think it was worth 9s.

Karamo. Felt dance by numbers in between the lifts. Too high.

Hannah. No hips and she seemed to be on her tiptoes the entire time. The bounce felt staccato. Too high.

Sailor. Not bad, but I felt Val pulled her along at times. Kicks and flicks were a little flexed. Not worth 9s.

Sean. Very jerky. Too high.

James. There were hips! Lost them on occasion but more than I've seen this season in this dance from anyone. I agree with the scores.

Lauren. And I was tearing up. I agree with the scores.

And bottom two are Sailor and Ally. Not the worst dancers left. Who's voting for Sean?

And going home is Sailor. While I don't think she would've won, she deserved to be around a little longer.

    Was sorry to see Sailor go. I agree she should have stayed longer.

    My guess on who is voting for Sean....the Conservative Right.

Another blanket

 I started this a while ago. The Marcelle afghan. But I was running out of yarn on the final round. Put it away for a while. Then forgot where I put my pattern. Found it again. Frogged everything and redid it with a smaller hook. Also messed up on round 71 four times and didn't realize it until round 73... There were only 74 rounds. 2nd pic is it on my queen bed. Now to pick a new project...

A bit of ADD

I seem to be a bit all over the place this week. Let me walk you through it. Sunday, I have declared this day to be for 'insanity'. I shall try and keep this up. So Monday, I picked up a new cross-stitch, Mystical Wizard. More on that later but here are the colors. Wednesday, I decided to work on one of my sewing projects. A 17.5" stuffed Christmas tree. I was going to make the 12" one but I had enough fabric if I ignored the included cutting diagram and got away with 1/8" less. But come Thursday, I was tired of my cross stitch. There's only so much I could take of stitching blue on blue, and mainly two colors of blue. Of course the upper left is the least interesting part color-wise of this piece. So I switched to The Accolade. I'll include the last photo I took of it (with my old phone) because I didn't get that many rows finished. But not bad for only two days.   And as today is Sunday, I worked on Insanity again. And

Eclectic update and more stash

Another busy week coupled with the fact that I spent the majority of my free time over the weekend working on my dress caused me not to have that much done on insanity. I did however manage to finish my three pumpkins this week (and had a full ball left over) and also started the snowman tonight as my brain was too tired to deal with insanity. Although I haven't managed to work on certain projects as I would like, I got more stash. I had to go to joann's to pick up thread for my dress last week. While there, I have a tendency to rummange through the other departments to see if anything catches my eye. Although the cross-stitch section isn't all that great, I did find the following: Sebastian and Sebastian rose by Design Works. I was tempted by two other designs featuring a white cat and a leopard purse and one with a leopard shoe, but I prefered these for some reason, maybe Onyx had an influence. They came as a pack.
