Dwts season 14 finale

Yay for pro numbers.

Sherri. I enjoyed the number. It was fun and she was enjoying herself as usual. But she was pigeon toed on her new yorkers. I laughed at how Maks and Tony descended from the ceiling.

Martina. Still as bad as I remember and she's wearing the lowest heels I've ever seen.

Jack. Could have done without the hip thrust. no bounce.

Gavin. They added balloons. I think he's worse then I remember.

Gladys. she's picking up her feet too much again.

Jaleel. Not a song I'd pick for a paso... They seemed to mess up a lift. Not very paso-y.

Melissa. Looked about the same as the first time. Cute alternate ending.

Roshon. Cute, but I can't critique hip hop.

Another pro number. Makes me happy.

Maria. I just noticed how low her heels are.

William. Oh look, he's mainly shaking his body while awkwardly doing steps without the proper hip movement. Over scored.

Katherine. Clean, but I preferred the first jive she did for some reason. I'll where with the scores.

Donald. His lock steps could have been better. But I'll give him the scores.

Gladys is a much better singer then dancer. And much better singer than a certain person on motown week. I think we all remember who that was...

Yay for Donald. I would have been happy with either him or Katherine.

    I agree with you about the pro numbers, they really help dance novices like me see what the different dances are *supposed* to look like. Now that DWTS is over, are you going to watch So You Think You Dance?

Eclectic update and more stash

Another busy week coupled with the fact that I spent the majority of my free time over the weekend working on my dress caused me not to have that much done on insanity. I did however manage to finish my three pumpkins this week (and had a full ball left over) and also started the snowman tonight as my brain was too tired to deal with insanity. Although I haven't managed to work on certain projects as I would like, I got more stash. I had to go to joann's to pick up thread for my dress last week. While there, I have a tendency to rummange through the other departments to see if anything catches my eye. Although the cross-stitch section isn't all that great, I did find the following: Sebastian and Sebastian rose by Design Works. I was tempted by two other designs featuring a white cat and a leopard purse and one with a leopard shoe, but I prefered these for some reason, maybe Onyx had an influence. They came as a pack. And the dress is done.

I promised pictures and I have them. Two at least. I'll eventually get action shots but for now you can imagine what happens when I spin. I do have long gauntlets/gloves that I wear with the dress but I forgot to put them on before taking the pictures. I had a long day at the competition, started at 10:30am didn't finish until probably 10:30pm. 61 dances, smooth and latin. Placed top 3 in all except one where I placed 4th. I'm not usually that tan and it still hasn't completely come off. And the white part of my french manicure is now a bit brown as well. I completely forgot to pick up the DVD I had asked to be taped and now will have to figure out how to get a hold of it. Overall I managed to win $600. Not anywhere near enough to cover the costs but more than I've won previously and should give my credit card a nice relief for next month. DWTS season 16: week 8

Next week is the semi-finals. Eek! Zendaya. A happy foxtrot. Odd music, but it worked. Smooth and graceful. I'll agree with the scores but depending on the rest of the night they could be higher. Sean. He looked like he was thinking too much. His posture was leaning towards Peta and his butt was sticking out. I guess I'll agree with the scores. Jacoby. I felt as if he could have stood up straighter. His footwork looked a bit odd at times. Ingo. It wasn't bad, but he could've been smoother in the footwork. He stepped back instead of gliding. I guess I'll give them the scores. Kellie. Why was she in place so much at the beginning? Then when they finally start to dance, I couldn't see her feet because of the fog. It was pretty. Scores are a little high for me. Aly. Something was missing but I can't figure out what. I didn't think it wast the best of the round. Trio dances. One of the newer sections they I really like.
